BIOGRAPHY
Brad Furber practises in the field of US securities law, with a focus on equity capital markets, intial public offerings and mergers & acquisitions together with angel and venture finance transactions. He advises deal-intensive entrepreneurs, managers, intermediaries, and investors in a variety of industries, including information and communications technologies, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, medical device, biotech, e-commerce, electronic trading markets, and fast-moving consumer goods. He has worked in numerous strategic leadership roles for global tech ventures.
A CEO, managing director, co-founder, board director, counsel and adviser for global ventures, he is now building a forum for global tech startup founders.
Prior to joining Carsted Rosenberg as a partner and head of tech, he gained considerable experience as co-founder of the Van Valkenberg Furber Law Group in Seattle, which helped early-stage companies raise capital in private equity offerings, before subsequently becoming a part of Holland & Knight. Brad was executive partner of Holland & Knight, Seattle and head of West Coast TEC.
In addition to being a highly active M&A lawyer, Brad lead numerous start-up technology companies to a successful IPO and subsequently set out to launch the Term Sheet Battle in Copenhagen, an international programme that teaches term sheet negotiations for venture finance. In 2014, Brad launched the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia which quickly emerged as an important player in Australia’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Brad advises clients on start-ups or greenfield initiatives, scale-ups leading to IPO or exits, or enterprise transformations. He is an active speaker on innovation, entrepreneurship, law and public policy and acts as strategic coach for a select group of tech startups and entrepreneurs seeking global scale-up with venture finance.
