Updated: Sep 25, 2020

Carsted Rosenberg Advokatfirma is expanding its M&A and venture finance practice as US securities lawyer Brad Furber is joining the practice. Brad is recognised as one of the leading experts on financing technology start-ups and on venture finance law. Brad brings a wealth of experience in US West Coast financing techniques for growth companies.

Having started his career with Bogle & Gates in Seattle in the early nineties, he subsequently co-founded the Van Valkenberg Furber Law Group, which helped early-stage companies raise capital in private equity offerings and IPOs. The Van Valkenberg Furber Law Group subsequently became a part of Holland & Knight. Brad served as executive partner of Holland & Knight, Seattle and head of West Coast TEC until 2005 and subsequently launched a successful business as an investor and business angel with a focus on technology companies.

In Copenhagen, Brad launched the Term Sheet Battle, an international programme that teaches term sheet negotiations for venture finance. In 2014, Brad launched the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia which quickly emerged as an important player in Australia’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Brad advises clients on start-ups or greenfield initiatives, scale-ups leading to IPO or exits, or enterprise transformations. He is an active speaker on innovation, entrepreneurship, law and public policy and acts as strategic coach for a select group of tech start-ups and entrepreneurs seeking global scale-up with venture finance. In addition, Brad advises clients on their US legal strategy and US market entry.
